Welcome to GiReviews.Net! I’m honored to have you as a part of the community.
We believe that finding a gi that fits your unique body type is hard, but great reviews make that easy.
Our mission is to be the ONE PLACE online that you can go to for reviews of the best gis on the planet.
For the last five years, GiReviews.Net has been the BJJ community’s home for the best reviews and articles on gis, gear, and other BJJ lifestyle goods.
My name is Brendan and in 2011, I was sick of searching forums and a million websites just to find reviews on gis that I was interested in. Today, I’m proud to say that GiReviews is the most visited gi review website in the world.
If you’re new here, here are a few of my most popular and helpful posts:
One of the greatest struggles many female jiu-jitsu practitioners face is finding a sports bra that will hold up to their tough training sessions. The same bra that can stand up to hours of running or weight-lifting might not be suitable for rolling, so lots of women go through lots of bras (and lots of money) before finding one that works for them. We decided to put an end to that.
When it comes to selecting the best sports bra to wear under your gi or rashguard, the most important things to take into consideration are comfort, coverage, and durability. The last thing you want is to have to pause your roll to make adjustments because something is cutting into you or sliding down too far. And of course, who wants to spend a ton of cash on something that’s going to fall apart after just a few tough classes?
All of these bras have been personally recommended by female jiu-jitsu athletes, so you can be sure that they can handle any submission or position. Check them out and see which ones are right for your body.Shop for Sports Bras and more at MMA Warehouse
I purchased an Atama Leticia Ribeiro Edition gi toward the middle of December after realizing that, without my own washing machine, if I’d be training 3-4 times a week, I’d need more than one gi. My first gi is a Fenom and while I love it, I wanted to see what else might be out there and this one caught my eye.Purchase Atama Leticia Ribeiro 2.0 Gi at Amazon
A tough work horse gi. The KO (Knock Out) Sports Gear red pearl weave gi is a bargain given its durability and distinctive features. This is not a “premium” or “tailored” gi, but it is without question a fantastic gi for what its meant to be: a functional novelty.Click here to read what users are saying about the Red Gi by KO Sports
With its smooth, African styling The Original Zuri Gi is an extremely durable and attractive first effort by a new gi company. This gi is impressively well built, comfortable and well designed.Purchase the Original Zuri Gi from Amazon
My first, and only experience with Fuji prior to this review was with their single weave basic gi. It was my second gi (ever) and I loved it dearly. It shrank like crazy over time (as did a lot of those older models), so I was pleasantly surprised by the Fuji Suparaito! It’s a genuinely lightweight gi and a lot of fun to wear and train in.Purchase the Fuji Suparaito Gi at MMA Warehouse
Do or Die Hyperfly has cemented their position in the jiu jitsu community as one of the most sought after and respected brands. I was sent their classic, cleanly designed and amazingly well made Premium gi for a review, I was not disappointed!
If you are on the market for an ultra lightweight 100% rip stop travel gi, you may want to seriously consider the BJJ Globetrotters Super Light Travel gi. This gi has a lot going for it including durability due to its amazing materials and comfort and its embroideries and patchwork are beautiful.Check out the 250 gsm ultra lightweight Tatami Traveller gi
The gi Mike Fowler designed specifically for his match against turtle guard legend Eduardo Telles. This is perhaps the most beautiful garment I’ve ever seen, forget jiu jitsu related. As a gi it is a tough, functional product.Click here to purchase Tatami Mike Fowler Signature Gi at Amazon
Caution: The new Manto X Pro Light gi may turn you into a Spartan War god from 480BC.
It may also turn you into Abraham Marte.
The Manto X Pro Light gi is offered in two color variations: Blue with white stitching and white with purple stitching. Originally, I was skeptical about checking out on of Manto’s gi because I’ve always enjoyed their nogi gear, but some of their original gi offerings weren’t that great. Would this be different?Purchase the Manto X Pro Light at MMA Warehouse
I was given the opportunity to review two different gis from Club Boost, a very active company. The two gis that I reviewed are the Club Boost Comp Gi in white and the Club Boost Samurai Gi in black. This is a review of the Comp Gi, I will cover both a review of the gi as well as some contrast and comparison between it and the Samurai gi.Check out more Pearl Weave gis at MMA Warehouse
